fielding was the first writer who divided the character into flat and round . round character is active one and plays the role of the hero or the heroine in any litrary work besides that it refers to the main character . in the other hand the flat one is less active character and its mission in any litrary work is to help the main chracter.it also refers to the sub chracter . this division by fielding took place in eighteen century .he has some beautiful novels and has abasic role in establishing the novels bases .but fielding was not the father of novel .the father of novel was richardson in his novel pamila which is in letters form .robinson cruzo has also another role in developing novel.charles dickens has abig role in developing novel asin his novels hard times,great expectations,tales of tow cities.tomas hardy in his novel the return of the native , which refers to his life .
